Pizza Fraction Party

Grade 4 students compared fractions using a variety of mathematical strategies, supported by visual models to deepen their understanding. To make the learning more engaging and meaningful, pizzas were brought into the classroom, giving students the opportunity to share a meal together while applying their fraction skills in a real-life, hands-on context. This fun activity helped them visualize parts of a whole, discuss their thinking, and strengthen their understanding of comparing fractions.
