Grade 6 Students Designing Fraction Brochures

During their Math sessions, Grade 6 students demonstrated student agency as they explored operations on fractions through investigation, modeling, and explanation. They applied their mathematical understanding to design informative and visually appealing brochures that illustrated how fractions are used in real-life contexts. The activity allowed students to take ownership of their learning while expressing creativity through artistic elements such as illustrations, colors, and thoughtful layouts — effectively showcasing both their mathematical reasoning and design skills.
