Grade 2 and Grade 3 Students as Plant Investigators

Grade 2 and 3 students became young scientists as they explored what green plants need to grow and thrive. Through engaging experiments, they tested how variables such as sunlight, water, and soil affected plant growth. By applying the steps of the scientific method—questioning, hypothesizing, experimenting, observing, and concluding—they identified the essential conditions for healthy plant development. This activity encouraged curiosity, observation, and critical thinking in a real-world context.
