Mathew Bou Antoun wanted to share with you his talent. Please keep reading to find out what it is and what he has to say about it.
Q: Can you please introduce yourself?
A: Hello! My name is Mathew Bou Antoun. I am in Grade 6D, and I enjoy playing football and piano, but my favorite activity is public speaking because I get to express my thoughts and feelings in front of a large audience.
Q: How did you develop your public speaking skills, and who encouraged you?
A: It all started in Grade 4, precisely in the year 2020, when I realized I have a special interest in public speaking. My parents and Ms. Shereen encouraged me and helped me build my self-confidence. So, I started training at home and in front of my teacher who taught me about the correct posture, eye contact, and the way to address an audience.
Q: What are some of the occasions where you showcased your talent?
A: In addition to class presentations, I delivered speeches at birthday parties and family dinners in the summer, but the most important occasion was my participation in the Award Ceremony, last year, when I presented the event with my friend, Mariam.
Q: What advice can you give to your friends when it comes to public speaking?
A: My advice for anyone who wants to become a better public speaker is to relax and pretend there’s no one watching him/her, and if I can do it so can everyone!
Thank you Mathew Bou Antoun for the interview!
We wish you the best of luck in your public speaking journey!
